Based on the science of sleep, this concept takes a graphical representation of the brain activity during the various phases and stages of sleep (including REM and non REM over an optimal 8 hour period).
At Wallace Health we were asked to create an online quiz - for desktop and mobile use with supporting digital creatives and animation to promote Simba Sleep mattress. Look and feel of the login page was taken over from the initial concept idea for the pitch to Simba Sleep that I helped to design.

At the end of the questionnaire, the respondent’s sleep pattern is displayed, together with an overlay to illustrate the disrupted sleep wave resulting from this sleep pattern. This gives an immediate visual insight into the impact of the sleep pattern.
The designed Results page shows graphs with Sleep Pattern line created specifically for every possible scenario with natural (correct) pattern line of sleep to compare with.

It was important for the text animation to covey the various stages of sleep. That has been achieved by applying carefully selected animation text presets available in After Effects and tweaking these to suit the flow of storytelling.
To animate some of the other elements within the animation without compromising my ambition for the final quality of the piece I’ve used some of the Trapcode Suite from Red Giant.
Sleeping pattern line - 3D Stroke, particle system for delta waves which burst into a field of floating particles - Trapcode Form, completed by Trapcode Shine to express colourful dreams.​​
